First they came for the children
to wage war... and I did not say
anything because my children didn't
have to go.
Then they came for the children's crushing
tuition debt ...and I did not say anything because
I finished my free school tuition years ago.
Then they came for meals-on-wheels and
affordable day care and school lunches...and I
did not say anything because I had plenty to eat
THEN THEY CAME FOR A WOMANS
RIGHT TO CHOOSE HER
REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS ...AND I
DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING BECAUSE MY
CHILDREN WERE ALL BORN.
then they came for everyone who shouldn't love
the wrong person ...and I didn't say anything
because I always loved the right person
Then they came for my privacy ...and I did not say
anything because I should have nothing to hide.
Then they came for minimum wage ...and I did not say anything because I was paid more than minimum wage.
Then they came for the jobs ...and I did not
say anything because I had my job.
Then they came for the homes and mortgages ...and I
did not say anything because I didn't owe a mortgage
Then they came for their affordable health insurance ... and I
did not say anything because I had my insurance with my job.
Then they came for Medicaid...and I did not say anything because I was not benefiting from Medicaid, yet.
Then they came for Medicare... and I did not say anything
because I was not benefiting from Medicare, yet.
Then they came for my social security.... and I did not say anything because I was not benefiting from social security, yet
then they came for my First, Last and Middle Initial,
ss#, address, phone number, date of birth, voter history, voter activity and voter registration...and I didn't say anything because "I voted the right way"
THEN THEY CAME FOR MY GOVERNMENT AND THERE WAS NO ONE LEFT TO SPEAK FOR US...
